The Gambia’s citizens did not get to witness one of the most democratic transition in their Country first hand. The inauguration of the new Gambia’s president was held at Gambia’s embassy in Senegal. His rival Yahya Jammeh, who ruled The Gambia for 22 years and lost elections in December, is refusing to give up power.
Mr Jammeh has been given until noon on Friday to leave office or be forced out by UN-backed regional forces.
