As the season comes to an end, below are some of the top transfer negotiations going on around Europe:
Major target for Barcelona this season is Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) as they look to strengthen their back line. However, Arsene Wenger has said he has no intentions of selling Bellerin seeing that he is one of the best attacking right back in Europe.
Looking to strengthen his defence in the summer, Zinedine Zidane is reportedly ready to pay Bayern Munich €40m for German centre-back Jerome Boateng. Although with a contract until 2021, it may take more to convince the Bundesliga champions to sell.
A target for Liverpool and Chelsea, RB Leipzig’s midfielder Naby Keita has spoken about his future: “One day I want to play for the one of the best clubs in the world, Barca or Real, but this is still a long way off.” He is contracted in Germany until 2020.
Schalke are hoping that Arsenal target Leon Goretzka can be convinced to sign a new contract this summer. His current deal runs till 2018 and the German club hope to increase his release clause.
Philippe Coutinho has revealed his happiness at being linked with a move to Barcelona. “Whenever they talk about me, I’m happy. It’s good that a great club like Barcelona has an interest in you, because it’s a recognition of the work you’re doing.” Although he did admit there had been no direct talks.
After 60 minutes of Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Sevilla, Manchester United transfer target James Rodriguez was substituted off the field and it seems like the Colombian waved goodbye to the Santiago Bernabeu. With an apparent agreement to join Jose Mourinho, it’s now up to United to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
