The Lagos State Government under governor Akinwunmi Ambode in September 2017, completed and inaugurated the state’s DNA Forensic Centre, the first ever high-powered DNA Forensic Laboratory in Nigeria. The DNA laboratory is located on Odunlami Street, Lagos Island.
The following diagnosis and more can be performed there:
-Forensic Serology.
-DNA Analysis (e.g. Paternity test, Sibship test, Avuncular test).
-Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Assistance.
-DNA Database (Lagos DNA Index System – LDIS).
