EDUCATION: He attended Biu Central Primary School and passed out in 1978. He obtained OND from Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri in 1986. In 1992, he graduated from Ramat Polytechnic with an HND Certificate.

CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES: In the year 2007, Aliyu Betara Muktar was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent the Biu/Bayo/Shani/Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency of Bornu State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was however re-elected in the years 2011 and 2015. His legislative interest border on public account, youth empowerment and education. He targets to improve the standard of civil service and to voice out his constituency.
