A recipient of the national honors of MFR, Chief Ahamba is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and a CEDR-accredited Mediator. He was appointed a Notary Public in 1991 and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on July 20, 1992.
After his basic school certificate examinations, his journey to the pinnacle of career success berthed at University of Maiduguri, where he graduated in 1981 with a law degree. His first work experience was as Legal Trainee in the Attorney-General’s Chambers in Kano State. From there, he worked with Legal Resources Consortium (Solicitors & Advocates) in Imo from 1986 to 1988, before going on to establish his own firm, Mike Ahamba & Associates a.k.a Iwuoha Chambers in 1989.
Chief Ahamba is a member of various professional and social organizations and has presented several papers of various issues of law and practice. A sportsman and ardent golfer, Chief Ahamba is a past Captain of the IBB International Golf and Country Club from 2005 to 2006 and a humanitarian.
