EDUCATION: He attended the following institutions; Methodist School Zaria, which he completed in 1971, St. Pauls College, where he obtained his Senior School Certificate in 1976;    Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Law in 1980. He thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to bar in 1981.
