GABRIEL OKOYE ONYENWIFE born 1967 is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Oyi/Ayamelum

Federal Constituency of Anambra State, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

He attended Community Boys School Ifite-ogwari and obtained West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1984. Thereafter, he attended the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where he studied law and graduated in the year 2000. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School in 2002 and was called to the Bar.

Before joining politics, Gabriel engaged in farming, teaching and legal practice.

Gabriel Okoye Onyenwife later joined politics and  was elected into the Anambra State House of Assembly in the year 2007. He retained the position until the year 2015. At the Anambra State House of Assembly, he held the following positions: Vice Chairman house committee on finance and appropriation 2007-2015; Chairman house committee on public accounts 2011-2015; chairman house committee on Agriculture 2007-2011; Member house committee on judiciary, public utilities, works, petroleum, local government and chieftain affairs, science and technology 2007-2015.

In the year 2015, Gabriel Okoye Onyenwife was elected as a member of the Federal House of Representatives, to represent Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency of Anambra State, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). As a legislator, his legislative interest border on ensuring public accountability through effective budget system and oversight monitoring, rural development and adherence to constitutionalism. He targets to ensure that his constituency, through effective representation, is not marginalized in the affairs of the country by adhering to principles of federal character as stipulated in the Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999.

Gabriel Okoye Onyenwife has the following Awards & Honours:

Best legislative award by oyi councilors 2014; Distinguished legislator Award by Nwafor Orizu College of Education; Ambassador of Odinma Ayamelum by Odinma Ayamelum Association.

He has held the following Previous Offices:
