EDUCATION: He attended Christ Church Cathedral Primary School, Broad Street, Lagos where he obtained the 1st School Leaving Certificate; Anwar-Ul-Islam College Agege, Lagos (formerly known as Ahamadiyya College, Agege) from and Methodist Boys High School, Lagos where he obtained his West African School Certificate and Higher School Certificate respectively.
From there, he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, to study law and graduated with a 2nd Class Upper Division in 1985. He attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. Upon graduation, he had his mandatory youth service (NYSC) as a Legal Officer in the Ibadan Western Regional Office of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. Thereafter he cut his teeth as a Barrister in the Chambers of Dele Akinmusuti & Co. with offices in Ibadan and Lagos.
