Biography Of Muhammad Jega

Muhammad Umar Jega (born ) is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Gwandu/Aliero/Jega Federal Constituency of Kebbi State under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

DATE OF BIRTH: 1969

EDUCATION: He attended Jega Town Primary School where he obtained First School Leaving Certificate in 1972. He graduated from Government College Sokoto in 1977, had his first degree from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and went for his Master Degree in Usman Danfodio University Sokoto.

OCCUPATION: Muhammad Umar Jega worked as an architect, permanent secretary, and a Commissioner in Kebbi State.

CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES: He was later elected as a member of the Federal House of Representatives, where he represents Gwandu/Aliero/Jega Federal Constituency of Kebbi State under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). His legislative interests cover appropriation, poverty alleviation and revenue generation. He targets to reduce waste in government spending and leakages and create employment in his constituency.

Awards & Honours: Member, Institute of Architects, Fellow, Institute of Industrialist and Corporate Administrators.
