EDUCATION: He was introduced to Quranic education at the age of 3, At Malam Ibrahim Chindo’s Quranic School where he learnt the Holy Qur’an and precepts of Islamic Religious Knowledge. He particularly learned to read and eventually memorized the Holy Qur’an. While in Primary School Sulaiman Usman became a noticeable character committed to learning and extracurricular activities. Shortly afterwards, he proceeded to Sokoto Teachers College, Now Sokoto Science College Sokoto from 1983-1989.

CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES: Sulaiman Usman was elected a Local Government Councilor in 1990, became Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture and Natural Resources Department, Kware Local Government in February 1991 and subsequently, the Speaker of Kware Local Government Council from June 1990 to November 1993, Later became Special Adviser to the Government of Sokoto State on Legal Matters from 2003 – 2006. In 2005, whilst serving as Special Adviser to the Government of Sokoto State of Nigeria, he was appointed as a delegate to the National Political Reform Conference, By the then President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR in 2005, Representing Sokoto State in that conference from February2005 to July 2005. When the Conference was ongoing he served in the Judiciary and Legal Reforms Committee under Hon. Justice Bola Ajibola SAN and Abdullahi Ibrahim SAN, he also worked with the Legal Drafting Committee and Report Writing Committee of the Conference.
