Biography Intro: Umar Sadiq  is a Nigerian football striker who plays for NAC Breda on loan from Roma.

EDUCATION:”Future of Africa” football academy and the Abuja Football College.

CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES: Sadiq joined the “Future of Africa” football academy and the Abuja Football College. He finished as the top scorer at the Croatian Kvarnerska Rivijera youth tournament as his side Abuja Football College won the competition.

Also in 2013, soon after the Kvarnerska Rivijera youth tournament, Sadiq signed for Serie B side Spezia who sent him on loan to Serie D club Lavagnese. At Lavagnese he netted 26 goals in 24 matches for the youth team becoming the youth top scorer in Italy.

In June 2015, Sadiq joined Roma on a season-long loan. Having bagged eight goals and three assists in his first four youth matches for Roma, he made his Serie A debut on 21 November 2015 against Bologna, replacing Juan Iturbe after 88 minutes in a 2–2 away draw before scoring his first senior goal in the 3–3 draw against Chievo on the 6 January 2016.  Towards the end of the season his move to Roma was made permanent for a fee of £2 million. He completed his first season at Roma scoring 2 goals in 6 Serie A appearances.

On 31 August 2016, Sadiq joined Bologna on a season-long loan deal.

In August 2017, Sadiq joined Torino on a season-long loan. Torino secured an option to sign him permanently.

On 25 July 2016, Sadiq was selected by Nigeria for their final 18-man squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

He scored Nigeria’s Olympic team first goal at Rio and also won a penalty for the team’s fourth goal. He also scored the first and only goal of the next match against Sweden. He also scored the first and third goals in the Bronze medal match against Honduras in the same tournament.
