The Brass Fertilizer Company Limited is developing a world class methanol, ammonia, urea granulation plant and a gas processing plant on Brass Island, Bayelsa state. The plant has been designed in 2 phases, Phase I will incorporate a plant that produces 1.3 Million MT of Urea per annum and 1.75 Million MT of Methanol per annum. Phase II will add an additional 1.3 Million MT of Urea and will be implemented 5 years from production start of Phase I. Total project cost is budgeted at $2.7 billion for Phase I and $1billion for Phase II.
