Functions Of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is Nigeria’s National Oil Company with the mandate to manage the country’s vast hydrocarbon resources.

Established on April 1, 1977, NNPC is the oil corporation through which the federal government of Nigeria regulates and participates in the country’s petroleum industry.

The Corporation was given powers and operational interests in refining, petrochemicals and products transportation as well as marketing.
