The Media Nigeria,
21st July, 2023.
A REQUEST FOR CORRECTION OF SOME MISTAKES IN YOUR PUBLICATION CONCERNING THE TOWNS IN IGBO-ETITI LGA, DATED 19TH APRIL, 2018.
I write to give kudos to your media team for its unflinching research, compilation and publication of the Towns that make up Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu state. It’s quite commendable.
At the same time, I wish to draw your attention to the compilation and publication of the Communities or Towns that make up Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu state, dated 19th April, 2018. According to your compilation and publication of all the Towns in Igbo-Etiti, the 14 communities that made the Local Government Area were not fully captured. Igbo-Etiti is made up of 14 communities and they are as follows, in their alphabetical order:
1. Aku
2. Diogbe
3. Ekwegbe
4. Ochima
5. Ohebe-Dim
6. Ohodo
7. Onyohor
8. Ozalla
9. Idoha
10. Ikolo
11. Udueme
12. Ukehe
13. Umuna, and
14. Umunko
In my Community, Ohebe-Dim, in Igbo-Etiti, I also observed that it was written together with Ohodo. Ohebe-Dim and Ohodo are two different separate Communities and, as such, should be separated from each other please.
In Ohebe-Dim too, the villages making it up were not completely captured as well.
Ohebe-Dim has a total number of 7 (seven) villages and they are as follows:
1. Omashi
2. Umuotuga
3. Nnawam
4. Chinwa
5. Ohodo
6. Umuoma and
7. Akaibute
Akutara, as seen in your publication is not a village in Ohebe-Dim.
For this reason please, I submit that the above corrections be adequately effected and republished through the same media, so as to carry my people along and clear all possible doubts relating to the authenticity of your publication.
Thanks,
Yours Sincerely,
Ezugwu Godwin,
Ohebe-Dim Town.

Thank you so much for the corrections.
